The need for ongoing confidence in laboratory performance is essential for paper manufacturers, converters and printers. 

The CEPI Comparative Testing Service (CTS) is a round robin proficiency scheme which covers the physical, structural and optical properties of paper and board.  The service is run twice a year with customers able to choose from over 60 standard tests available in up to 5 levels.  The service has over 600 participating laboratories from mills, converters, printers and institutes across Europe and the rest of the World. 

The Co-ordinating laboratory for these services in the United Kingdom is Pira International.
