has actively supported the event, previously called
the “Big Recycle”,
since its inception in 2004, but feels the campaign
is failing to deliver a message

84%, corrugated cardboard has the highest recycling rate of
any type of packaging in the UK. As a direct result, every
four
months an area the size of Greater London is saved from landfill. This
is the message that the Confederation of Paper Industries
(CPI) and
the Sheet Plant Association (SPA) have united to spread
through their latest campaign, “Corrugated Recycles”.

Recovered Paper Sector Reaction to Waste Strategy 2007 |
| Waste
Strategy 2007 sets out the Government’s vision for dealing
with England’s waste through to 2020. It sets the policy framework to
reduce reliance on landfill by driving waste reduction, increase re-use and
recycling, and increase the use of energy from waste where it cannot
sensibly be recycled. The Recovered Paper Sector of the Confederation of

CPI’s biennial health and safety conference will be a one-day only
event, aimed specifically at operational management, supervisors, health & safety practitioners and
